Cosplay? Wait... you mean like at conventions? [Oh god, Pasadena...] Yeah, you're not going to find much of a convention when there's a whole bunch of actual demons and monsters roaming around.
[Ok, it was time to find out if this was all an act, because she was increasingly looking like some poor kid with a dark-fetish.]
... This isn't cosplay. [She came up closer, and the smell of sulfur would be right in Kuroneko's nostrils. Leaning forward, she gave her a very gauging look.] And unless you're some sort of elevated human who made a deal, I don't think you're actually a demon.
[Her tail reached out and brushed once at Kuroneko's cheek, the demon right up close.] Be straight with me. What are you, because honestly demons and I don't usually get along...
[Sam wouldn't be too far off-target. She can probably see the fear in Kuroneko's eyes. The closeness and the chance of a fight sent Kuroneko's heart racing. It would be better to admit that she was nothing special, that she was merely a delusional otaku...but Kuroneko didn't want to. She tries to keep her composure, even while trembling.]
Wh-wh-what are you thinking? That I'm just some normal human girl with-with a teen complex?
[For a split second, Samantha sniffed the air right around Kuroneko. Her whole body shuddered and her eyes went half-lidded. Did this girl miss the feeds in the past, when she'd gone completely mad, when she'd brutalized Eve and been seated with her blood covering her hands. She could feel the trembling in her cheek run along her tail and it sent shivers up and down her spine.
She was still very much in control, but she knew a temptation when she felt it.]
I think that you don't smell like a predator. You smell like prey.
[Claws, no sharper than a cat's but still very real, extended from her fingers as she reached up to to run them underneath the girl's chin. The motion was almost flirtatious and she had to control it, to reign it in. She felt disgusted in herself then. Didn't she have, at the least, a shred of loyalty to Eridan? Part of her knew that her instincts didn't, though.]
Maybe you are... but you're playing a dangerous game with me if you are.
[Shit was getting real. Kuroneko had never faced this kind of closeness with anyone, let alone a threatening succubus. She almost didn't know how to react. She instinctively backs up, trying to draw away from Sam and her overbearing presence--even though that wouldn't do her much good.
Kuroneko was still terrified and her eyes darted around the room. Sooner or later, her left hand reaches out for a pillow next to her. Hopefully it makes a good shield.]
[She settled on the bed a bit away, relaxing on one elbow and offering her a small chuckle, her head bowed. She wasn't quite looking at Kuroneko right then. It brought up all the wrong thoughts.]
After all that posturing, fallen saint, is this all you have mmmm? Maybe you really are just a little girl in the end.
[She leaned the hand that had grazed skin and licked it a little, one eye glancing up at her out of the corner of her vision. She smiled a little, baring a fang. Kuroneko needed just a slight scare, a reminder not to play too hard with some of them. She wasn't the only monster here.]
But, you should know. I actually am a demon, fallen saint. Did you think pretending to be like my kind was wise to one of us?
[Kuroneko inches away, even while still on the bed. She's still trying to make sense of what just went on, and shudders to herself. While scared out of her wits, Kuroneko still can't seem to shake off her delusional act.]
Hmph! Don't underestimate me... [She does trail off though, sounding unsure.]
[She looked at her quietly while she was trying to maintain the appearance that she was in control. Samantha sniffed the air and felt her hackles rise and her whole body shiver. She crossed again and lightly planted both hands to either side of Kuroneko, lips quivering on the edge of a smile.]
If you are so confident in your strengths, Saint, why don't you prove it, here and now? Even with our powers stolen, you've still got something don't you?
[Of course, she wasn't sure what level the girl's powers had reached yet...]
